10 Chic Ways to Tie a Scarf Like a French Woman
A scarf is one of the fastest ways to look instantly polished—without trying too hard. French women love scarves because they add structure, color, and “je ne sais quoi” to even the simplest outfit (white tee + jeans, trench coat, black blazer). The secret isn’t owning dozens of scarves—it’s knowing a few elegant, repeatable ties you can do in 10 seconds.
How French Woman Wear a Silk Scarf
In France, it is a quiet signature—one of those small details that instantly says “she’s put-together” without screaming for attention. A French girl doesn’t wear it to look trendy; she wears it to look finished: it frames the face, adds a touch of color, and brings softness to clean, structured pieces like a trench, a blazer, or a simple knit. The key is restraint—natural fabrics, an easy knot, and a little movement so it never looks too perfect. In this video, I’ll show you the chic French ways to tie a scarf that make any outfit feel more elegant, sophisticated, and effortlessly Parisian in seconds.

Alice,
I love your YouTube. Channel. I’m a 80 year old woman in the US. I’ve always worn blazers and scarves. Even when I feel overdressed at times. Can you give us some good sources for beautiful silk scarves? I have quite a few already. I seem to collect like handbags. I get some at Nordstrom and Neimans. . Even found some on Amazon. Some from Elisabettas website Italian scarves there. I also have worn Diorissimo for years. Love Hermes fragrances but favorite is called Pampelmouse I think. It’s hard to find. In the US stores. I usually need to purchase directly from Hermes
Thankful for all your tips on how to stay classy !
I’ve made a list of handbags to purchase. Cleaning out my current collection. bought the Rabeanco in dark brown – perfect size and lightweight. Bought the tLa Grand Rosa from Maison Rinceau in Bordeaux. Plan on getting the Apollon in a beige. I also got the Atelier Auguste Marly Medium size in Dark brown. Also tried a Lancaster bag. Very nice for the price!
Glad you mentioned Furla on one video. I have 5 Furla bags I LOVE LOVE. Bought my first Furla several years ago. They hold up very well.
Thank You!!!!! You are so beautiful and charming.
PS. I’ve Vern thinking of getting a Demeliet Hudson or Teddy Blake, but I already had a couple calfskin , firm leather handbags similar that were just so heavy to carry, once I filled them, I never wanted to use them. I’m trying to stay lighter weight. So I love the weight of the Marly! And Rabeanco.
